Common questions

Is San Antonio Mobile Health a clinic?

No. We are an independent information and matching platform. We do not provide medical care, diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, or emergency services. Care is delivered by independent participating providers.

What happens to my phone number?

If your request matches a participating provider, your contact details go to that one provider so they can respond. Nothing goes to data brokers or advertisers. If there is no match, nothing is sent anywhere.

How many providers will call me?

At most one. We route each request to a single matched provider rather than reselling it.

What if I need care right now?

This service is not for emergencies. Call 911 for a medical emergency. For an urgent but non-emergency concern, an urgent care clinic or your own provider will almost always be faster than arranging a mobile visit.

Does insurance cover mobile healthcare?

Usually not. Most mobile wellness and convenience services are self-pay by design. Some medical visit types can sometimes be billed, and a superbill may support partial out-of-network reimbursement. Confirm with the provider before assuming coverage.

How much does it cost?

It varies by provider and service, and we do not publish prices we cannot source. A mobile visit price is generally a travel component plus a service component plus anything used during the visit. Ask for a total in writing before anyone comes out.

How do you choose which provider gets my request?

Four checks: does the provider offer that service, does their coverage list include your ZIP code, are they active, and are they currently accepting that category. There is no ranking algorithm and no quality score.

Have you verified the providers' credentials?

No. We confirm business information. We have not reviewed licence or credential documents for any provider, and every profile says so. Texas licence status is publicly searchable and worth checking yourself.

Can a mobile provider prescribe medication?

A licensed provider can prescribe within their scope of practice and their clinical judgment. Whether they will is entirely their decision, and no service, this one included, can promise a prescription.

Can I delete my information?

Yes. Contact us and we will delete our copy. We cannot delete a copy a provider has already received — you would need to ask them directly, and we will tell you that rather than implying we can.

Is this site available in Spanish?

Yes. Every page has a Spanish counterpart written for South Texas readers rather than machine-translated. Spanish pages are currently awaiting an independent language reviewer and are marked accordingly.

Is my information protected by HIPAA?

Not by us. HIPAA applies to covered entities such as healthcare providers, not to an information website. The provider you are matched with has their own obligations. We deliberately never collect symptoms, diagnoses, or medical history, which is the more meaningful protection here.

  • How Matching Works

We check your ZIP code and requested service against participating providers, then pass your request to one that covers it. We do not screen you medically and we do not book appointments.

  • Get Matched With a Mobile Healthcare Provider

Three short steps. We ask what you're exploring, where the visit would be, and how to reach you — never for symptoms or medical history.

  • Mobile Healthcare Privacy Questions

Where your information goes: what the provider holds, what this platform holds, what HIPAA does and does not cover, and how to ask for deletion.

  • Mobile Healthcare Safety Questions

The safety questions that matter outside a clinical setting: emergency preparedness, sterile technique, medication handling, and who is in the room.
