Mobile weight-management consultations
A consultation where a licensed provider reviews your history, may order labs, and discusses medically supervised options. Eligibility and any prescribing decision belong entirely to the provider.

What the consultation covers
A licensed provider reviews your medical history, current medications, and prior attempts; takes baseline measurements; and discusses options that may be appropriate. Laboratory work is commonly ordered before anything is prescribed.
The consultation is a conversation and an assessment. It is not a purchase, and agreeing to one does not commit you to a programme.
What eligibility assessment generally considers
- Measurements and weight history.
- Existing conditions, including cardiac, gastrointestinal, thyroid, and endocrine history.
- Personal and family history of certain cancers and endocrine conditions.
- Current medications and possible interactions.
- Pregnancy, plans for pregnancy, and breastfeeding.
- History of eating disorders.
- Whether you can be monitored appropriately over time.
What ongoing monitoring involves
Regular follow-up contact, repeat measurements, and repeat laboratory work at intervals the provider sets. Side effects and tolerability are reviewed at each contact, and dosing may change.
Continuity matters more here than in any other category on this site. A programme that prescribes and then does not follow up is not medical supervision, whatever it is called. Ask specifically how often you will be seen, by whom, and what happens if you have a problem between contacts.
Where the medication comes from
Ask directly whether any medication is a manufacturer's approved product or a compounded preparation, and if compounded, from which pharmacy. The FDA has repeatedly noted that compounded preparations are not FDA-approved and are not evaluated for safety, effectiveness, or quality in the same way approved products are.
This is a reasonable question and a good provider will answer it without hesitation. Evasion is informative.
Questions to ask a provider
- What does the consultation cost, and what does a full programme cost over a year?
- Is any medication an approved product or a compounded preparation, and from which pharmacy?
- How often will I be seen, by whom, and what monitoring is included?
- What side effects should I expect, and which mean I should stop and call you?
- What happens if I stop — clinically and contractually?
- Who do I reach out of hours if I have a problem?
Common questions
Will I be prescribed medication?
That is entirely the provider's clinical decision after assessing you, and no consultation guarantees it. Any service promising a prescription in advance is not screening you.
What does this actually cost per month?
The consultation fee is rarely the real cost. Medication, laboratory work, and follow-up visits determine the annual total and are usually quoted separately. Ask for a twelve-month figure, not a per-visit one.
